It is owned by 3 nice French guys and the concept corresponds to every kind of traveller given the fact that their offer different kinds of accomodations/comfort levels/prices. The tents are a good experience, both near the sea and at the entrance of the jungle. The chilling out atmosphere fits perfectly to the location. The “dinner specials” are really yummy and more than welcomed when one misses the good French food like we know it back home.
It was hard to leave and we are already thinking about going back next year

Fairly easy to get too as well. The boat from Sihanoukville only took about 30-45 mins to Saracen Bay, and the walk from there to Sunset Beach is quite do-able. We have a decent fitness level but did not find it too difficult.
Cannot recommend this place (or this side of the island) enough. It is a great disconnection from the rest of the world.
Best described as paradise. Could have easily spent 2 weeks there.

Nobody knows if the fast boat will stop there, and if not, what time the slow boat will come to take you (at extra cost).
Also, the beach is small, and it’s not a particularly clean one either.
I booked only one night here in case I wanted to leave, which I did.

Stuck between the ocean, a wild jungle and a small local fishing village, it is the place to go if you wish to live a real Cambodian experience.

At 100′ out a standing adult is barely waist deep. Add to that the bathtub warm waters and this really was the perfect beach holiday for our 3 year old.

Some tourist for day trips but really quiet in morning until about 11.00 AM and afternoons from 2.00 PM. We had a great time.

I’d recommend booking in advance, I saw a lot of people showing up to the island trying to find places to stay but everywhere was fully booked

Wish we had looked at Lazy or other more remote places to stay!!

When we arrived on the main side of the island (Saracen Bay) we found it windy and busy so we tried our luck with getting a room on Lazy Beach as we had heard good things from travellers we met in our travels. We were picked up by a tractor and had a fun ride across the island to an unspoilt and amazing beach. Our bungalow was very basic and rustic, but this added to its charm. This beach may not have sand as white or water as blue as the east side but the tranquility and the food is unforgettable. The highlight is definitely the bioluminescence in the water at night, I have never seen anything quite like it. If you are going to Koh Rong Samloem this is the place to stay.
